I like the smooth finish on them as it reduces any chance of damage to the fish in my aquarium and the frogs in my vivarium. On the other hand, shipping continues to be and issue for Amazon when packaging something as simple as rocks. Because they do little to limit the movement within the box, the shipping company normally drops off a damaged box. I have had some arrive with the bags torn open inside as they are often packaged with other items. Still, all in all, I am happy with this product and will continue to order more as needed.
