I bought this siphon about 2 months ago to replace my TINY siphon. I’ve used it about 8 times so far. It used to take me about 10-15 minutes to clean my 10 gallon fish tank. Now, with this 5 inch water intake gravel tube, it takes me only 3-5 minutes. The siphon ball (black water pumper/squeezy thing) only needs 2-3 full squeezes for the water to come rushing through the hose! In my opinion the hose is a perfect length, and the little hose clip is wonderful. While I can clip the hose to my fish tank, I prefer to clip it to my dirty water container. (See pictures). This prevents the hose from moving around or spraying water everywhere. The filter screen works great for keeping small rocks and fish from going through, but tiny fish and sand would most likely slide through the holes pretty easily. I think the quality of the siphon is of good value for the price. It took about 5 minutes for me to put the siphon together. I hope anyone who buys this will be as happy as I am with it.

Works perfectly. This was super simple to use, and made cleaning the turtle enclosure quick and easy. The suction was surprisingly strong, pulling the clear glass pebbles (marble size) up and sucking the yuck away and into the bucket. The grate prevented any rocks from going up the tube. I was surprised how little water was left when it finally lost the siphon. Overall, it cut the tank cleaning time by more than 50%. I am so happy I decided to get this tool
