I have had several heaters for my 300-gallon fish fountain. The others had difficulty maintaining 69 – 70 degrees and one I was never sure that it functioned properly at all. However, this product worked perfectly from the start. When I installed it this winter the water temperature was 53 degrees, and the goldfish were not liking the temperature drop. After I started the heater, it brought the temperature up to 70 the following day and has maintained it perfectly since. I made a mistake and let the water level drop and the device automatically turned off, saving it from self-destruction. This is a great heater and I’d recommend it to anyone with a sizeable fishpond, especially if a specific temperature range must be maintained.
