For the price, this is an amazing filter. Simple design, but well executed. Water drip is evenly spread over media. Nice overflow on boxes to prevent clogged media water disasters. Each box holds fair amount of media, so you get a ton of room for filter media. The bottom base is very sturdy metal. I would like to see boxes with a side entrance for easier maintenance. All in all super pleased.

Filter was easy to assemble, and easier to clean. Unlike other customers I used it under the counter for a gravity flow system. Improve my water quality within 12 hours. Very happy in Michigan.

It does come with three layers but I only use two because I didn’t need all three. I like how it’s adjustable and you can change it around. Works good and I have no problems. ?

First off the fedex shipping sucked. That took forever. But anyways im blown away by this thing. The rumours were right. Things as good if not better than a fx6. The hose it comes with looks like garbage though. Didnt trust it for the pressure i was running. Just went to home depot and got 3/4 inch ID tubing and fastners and its running like a top. Have it hooked up to a hygger pump.

Using this with my 29 gal African cichlid tank and it has been performing great. Water is crystal clean and the cichlids are happy. Its a little bulky sitting on top of the tank but I don’t mind, its kind of a conversation piece when people see it. Can’t beat the price, just need to make sure to buy a pump.
