Prof. Lilyan Feest –
This thing is perfect for a larger tank’s centerpiece, I needed to replace the rock formation that I had in my Oscar tank because as he grows larger he was scraping himself on its more jagged points. I also need another hide away for the shrimp, snails and mosquito fish that live in his tank. This doubled as both features, the gap creates a nice place to have an airstone and the base is heavy enough that even with a large fish like a full grown Oscar he wont easily move it. The only issue was that in the manufacturing one of the cut outs was not ‘cut out’ and I had to finish the job with tools. You could see where an attempt had been made but the hard plastic had not been fully opened. Once that rough spot was smoothed it works perfectly, looks great and is easy to clean.

This Titanic shipwreck ornament looks pretty dramatic sitting in my aquarium! It’s a good size, definitely makes a statement, and the two-piece design (if it’s the common split design) makes it look more like a wreck scattered on the seabed. The details are decent for a tank decoration, giving it that classic sunken ship vibe. It arrived intact and adds a lot of visual interest compared to just rocks and plants. My fish seem to appreciate the new hiding spots, especially swimming in and out of the broken sections. It definitely functions well as a cave feature. Before putting it in, I gave it a good rinse and quickly checked inside the openings for any potentially sharp edges left over from the molding process – always a good idea with resin ornaments. Didn’t find anything major, but worth doing. It takes up a fair bit of space, so probably best suited for medium to larger tanks, but overall, it’s a really cool-looking addition.
