This product is awesome! I have a 1 gallon and it is great! It was delivered in a padded box. This 2 gallon was in its original box and Beat The Hell to Death! 1 corner is dented in and glass powder all over the outside of the box and you could tilt the box from side to side and hear broken glass and the grit of the shards. If any Could Read English, they would have seen its glass. If Anyone Spoke A different language, They Would see the Pictures and know it is glass. Amazon’s workers at the facility just tossed this around because it’s a box and didn’t give a crap. The driver was very good and gentle with it.I shouldn’t even have to spend my gas and Time to take this broken glass to be sent back to Amazon. They should say just keep it and dispose of it. It would be nice if Amazon would reach out and tell me that. The box looked like it had been opened also. The actual products from Aquatop is top notch and very good.

This fish tank is the best 2 gallon you will find with some caveats.Pros:- The side sponge filter setup is excellent and very unique, it also helps gauge a good soil level- The flow is surprisingly strong at max (and can of course be controlled by the airflow itself)- Because of the bubble distribution, if you have a quite bubbler it can be relatively silent (more silent than 17/20 hang on back or internal filters I have tried so far, and it is more peaceful than a mechanical noise)- The black background is a black hue glass which really helps colors and scenery pop.- The lid design, though plastic, is perfect. The food hole if you use it – allow water to get just to the ring level and it will hold food in place for the fish in an unobtrusive way. There is also a back cut in the lid so you can remove sections to customize as needed- The size is so easy to take care ofCons:- The size limits the kind of fish you can have or water life- The air pump it came with was quieter than the average air pump, but too loud for my taste. Fortunately, I already have an air pump I use, but it was acceptable.- The light it came with was a bad color in all settings and too low of a strength. I switched it out with a chihirosRecommendations if using as a primary tank:1 betta ( I put bettas with other fish sometimes but not in a tank this size)1 everglades sun fish or a female male pair3 – 6 chilli rasboras (the ones you see in my tank are full grown here, they are the remaining ones from a larger tank I had and can confirm they love it from there behavior, including mating, shoaling, exploring and brighter colors than they ever had in their previous 10gal tank. Normally, rasboras do better in higher numbers I was very surprised they enjoyed the tank as much as they do. It was originally supposed to be a quarantine tank of sorts)5 shrimp (I limit to less than 10, but to each their own)1 nerite snail (have not had any algae, one is enough for the glass and this size)Recommendations to Aquatop:I would like this exact tank in a form factor closer to your 3 gallon bowflex. The flow from one sponge would still be strong enough, and that way the tank could be large enough for more fish. I would recommend it be 29-30cm or 11.95-12in wide to support certain lights and keep the black back. I would definitely not make it square. Even this two gallon elongated and maybe a little more depth would be perfect.

The media could not be loaded. The only criticism I have is the pump ….it’s LO U D I was very much hoping I would be one of the lucky ones who got a pump that was quiet because I saw the mixed reviews but nope …wasn’t meant to be. I like the whole idea of the filtration system being covered so small fish don’t get sucked up into a pump impeller but I’m still on the fence on this system I did make a small mesh bag and add some charcoal behind the tubing I’ll have to see how I feel about all this after a few weeks I may have to revise that system. But the tank is cute and the glass crystal clear and I actually like the plastic lid because I can easily lift it to put the baby guppies into it. Oh and I like that the light isn’t under the lid
