   The media could not be loaded.I am in love with this tank! I was incredibly angry with myself for not giving my fish the home he he needed and deserved (i got my first betta when i was in elementary school and didn’t think to do more research… and so i had only known how to take care of fish a certain way when i got my current fish about two and a half years ago). I love my betta, Cahoona, and I was determined to get him a happy and healthy living space. So, I purchased this beautiful 8 gallon tank and he loves it! I found it fairly easy to set up. It came with everything you could need except for a heater, thermometer, decorations, and food. The other decorations in the tank I got from either petco or walmart and have been thoroughly cleaned. The pink mesh over the filter I got from the fabric section, and I replace pretty regularly. The reason behind it, is to ease my mind of the possibility of him getting stuck in the filter. Yes I know it’s unlikely but I’m very paranoid. I’ve noticed some people were upset that sometimes it’s hard to see your finned friend in the round tank. Well yes, it is indeed round and I hope everyone knows that before buying it. I personally don’t mind, I think it gives the tank some uniqueness. It’s also cool too look at him from different angles and notice how big or small he appears. If you haven’t noticed, the video and pictures have been taken in my dorm room. It only took a few hours to move him in! I used eight 1-gallon containers to hold his treated water, and kept him in a plastic bag in an old fish bowl for some extra support. It can be somewhat hard to reach in and clean things because of the smaller opening at the top, and sometimes my fish has a hard time finding the food, but both can be fixed with a little patience. I love my biorb, and so does Cahoona! ?

   Out of the box the BiOrb is theoretically good to go with some very minor assembly. Everything you need to start is right there. I strongly suggest that you go to YouTube and access “BIORB COMPATIBLE UPGRADE KIT” by Pond Guru. It’s a twenty-five minute video that breaks down the most common issue with aquarium. I understand that it’s also commonly referred to as the ‘orb of death’ or ‘sphere of death’.Do the upgrade. The filter upgrade kit from Pond Guru runs around $70 and takes forever to be shipped from England. Same foam filter material and similar biogravel (different shape and color) can be found at PetCo or on Amazon and it costs way less. Biggest loss is that you won’t have the stencil Pond Guru provides for cutting the foam to size. You’ll get over it. :)I’ve had the BiOrb15 up and running for over a year now. Relocated six fish from a cheap Fluval 5 gallon and added a Beta to it. All are still happy and going strong. 10 to 15% water changes every two weeks; thorough cleaning once a month. It is a very attractive product. It’s spherical shape makes it appear larger than other five gallon tanks and still it’s somehow very compact. Might want to consider spending a couple more bucks and get the BiOrb30. You might also want to think about the upgraded light. Enjoy.

   The media could not be loaded.I love the look and that all is included for easy setup; a solid tank, substrate (rocks for bottom to help establish healthy bacteria) filter, bubbler, solar light and water conditioners.I ordered the eight gallon after having a three gallon for a few years. The smaller size always seemed dirty and felt a little small for a single fish. This is a great size. Pleanty of space for a few fish!The only thing I don’t like is the slightly flimsy lid. It always feels like it’s not all the way on… the cord trails under the lid in an awkward way, but it does have a hook for the cord at the bottom.
