I ordered a square shaped feeding device for the aquarium. However, the seller sent me the round shaped. I originally compared the square shaped and the circular shaped devices and learned the square shaped is about an inch bigger in diameter. I have a 45 gallon aquarium with two comet goldfish, I clearly needed the bigger size. Nevertheless, I washed it with mild detergent and water, then placed in the aquarium and let my two fish become familiar with it before adding food. Prior to having this, Ilthe goldfish flakes got pushed throughout the aquarium based on our filter. In an attempt to stop the food from spreading throughout the aquarium, and burying between all of the gravel I added the device received after washing it and allowing our fish to become familiar with it.It does seem to help some , the goldfish flakes seem to remain in one corner of the aquarium rather spreading everywhere. The only issue at this point is it is pretty small. If it were a tad bit bigger, I feel it would work better for the size of my fish. When my biggest comment goes up for the food, he can maneuver quickly creating movement in the water that then sinks the flakes. That’s why I say if it be a little bit bigger, it would work a little better in my particular situation.The plastic rod that holds the suction cup, and the ring together is pretty flimsy so I do question the longevity, however inexpensive product.This ring would definitely serve its purpose and in a beta fish tank, I suspect it would work perfectly based on that I would recommend this product
