I didn’t know if this would actually work. However, it cooled the water temp of my tank by two degrees during the day and three degrees at night. Some reviews said the device was loud, but I didn’t find it to be. However, my tank is not set up in my bedroom, so maybe that would make a difference, but there is a low setting that can barely be heard. I sit and have coffee every morning sitting right by my tank and haven’t found it annoying. I do have a glass top tank, so I placed a bottle cap underneath the opposite side of where I placed the fan to increase air circulation. I also attached the fan with a command strip since I have a rimmed tank. Worked great!!!!! I really like the sleek design of this fan and the seller reached out to see if I was happy with the purchase. I highly recommend the fan and the seller!!!!
