Looks like you can twist off the cover counterclockwise, but needing to use a lot of force.Overall, it’s a fairly good DC pump that’s easy to operate. I just got it, so I can’t remark on its durability yet.

This pump is sitting in a hydroponic reservoir and it’s feeding multiple rows of pvc piping with lettuce and herbs. It is on all the time and is a complete workhorse. It makes hardly any noise and plugs directly into a 110-volt outlet. It’s perfect for my needs. With this pump’s versatility, I can even adjust the flow rate and rhythm with the included controller, if so desired. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon’s low listed selling price.
