Works perfectly for my water changes on my reef tank. I use it to pump new saltwater back into the aquarium – works like a charm. Love the additional nozzles that adapter to different piping sizes.

I’ve only used it once, and let me tell you. I did a 25% water change, start to finsh, in my 29 gallon aquarium, in less than 10 minutes! BIG back AND time saver! I tried the model a step below this one (~150gph?) Which worked OK but it was too slow for me and I have a tall tank so it struggled to pump the water up to where I needed it. So i tried a different brand at 800gph… WAYYYY to much. But this 400gph model is just write! And seems to be built well. Pair with python “the hook” and some 3/4 id silicon tubing and you’re set! Would highly recommend ?

I use these for water changes. My only struggle is when plants or sand get stuck in the intake. They have okay power for what I do and are a good bargain.

So far, so good. My guppy babies swam under it and didn’t get sucked in. And, I was able to pump from bucket on floor into tank that was raised above floor by 3ft.
