I bought this product and it failed within two weeks of arriving. However AquaFocus did reach out to me after they found out I was having problems and send a new heater, which is working flawlessly. I’m hopeful that this heater has a long life and holds us to the quality of other Hygger products I have purchased. Giving it 4 stars because the original heater died so quickly.

I purchased this for my 125g freshwater tank that I previously had a undersized fluval and marineland heater in. They were too small for the tank, it wasn’t holding the proper temp but I didn’t want to spend a ton at the pet stores for the sufficient wattage. After contemplating for a couple days I chose this and I’m glad I did. It does exactly what it’s supposed to and I love the attached real time thermometer. It looks nice in the natural tank setting, it blends in to the back of the tank for a nice aesthetic. I have Discus which are particular about their water temp and this has been running like a dream for a few weeks. 10/10 would recommend.

Product worked great for 3 months but now flashes an “Out-of-water” Error. This heater is installed in the sump of my150g. I also have a hygger 500 in the main tank. Heater is, and has been, fully submerged.

Bought this heater in Dec 21′ and it has been working great the whole time. I really like the easily readable temp display on the heater itself. It’s one of the best heater I’ve had……..recommend buying one if you want an easy to use, set it and forget it heater for your tanks…..
