It works as intended, and holds a charge well enough to get through a short power outage. The power cord attaches the unit via a somewhat weak magnet, so it does get knocked off occasionally. The running volume is a bit louder than expected, so sensitive ears may need to cover it or muffle it somehow. Despite the sound, it is powerful enough to provide air to two air stones in two separate tanks at the same height.

This compact little pump is perfect for travel or small tanks. It’s battery-powered, so I don’t need an outlet, and it runs quietly with minimal noise. I use it on intervals throughout the week and recharge it on weekends. The adjustable tubing length makes it easy to customize for any setup, and its compact design allows it to sit beside or hang from the tank. Great value for the price!

I use battery powered pumps for keeping live bait, or caught fish, alive while fishing. I also use it to transport aquatic animals, and to aerate my aquariums when the power goes out. This pump is fairly well designed. It’s waterproof which is nice, particularly if used for fishing where it’s most likely to get wet. The downside is that to be waterproof it needs a different charging connection. This cable attaches magnetically and is less secure than a typical plug. I also wish this came with a longer cable since it’s proprietary and I can’t just swap it out with a longer cable when needed. It lasts a long time, and I like that it has power settings, not just intermittent and constant on. This is great for making sure your getting enough bubbles, but not more than needed to save on batteries. It’s fairly loud, and not designed for continual use. I don’t mind the noise for that reason, but if you are going to use it a lot the noise may bother you. Get a different pump if you need a permanent aeration solution for your aquarium. This has a larger battery than some and seems to last longer between charges too.Overall, a good product.Be careful with the tubing: I’ve noticed that many plastics are melted from prolonged contact to the tubing. I have not noticed that happening with THIS product, but I’d avoid storing this pump with the tubing wrapped around the pump.

I really enjoy hygger’s products, and this one is no exception. The build quality is solid with a nice thick shell, and the translucent black design looks clean and modern. It’s super quiet—even in continuous mode, the hum is barely noticeable thanks to the magnetic drive and rubber feet.I mainly use it for power outages and short trips where I need a backup air source, and it’s been incredibly reliable. The two modes (continuous and intermittent) are a smart touch and help extend battery life, especially in emergencies. Plus, the battery lasts a long time, and the magnetic charging makes it very convenient. It comes with everything you need out of the box: air stones, tubing, check valves, and even a magnetic charging cable. Definitely a great value and a must-have for fishkeepers who want peace of mind.

Review Of:hygger Portable Aquarium Air Pump, USB Rechargeable Lithium Battery Powered, Two 0xygen Supply Modes Fish Tank Bubbler Aerator for Outdoor Fishing, Power Outage, EmergencyVisit the hygger StoreWith frequent power outages in my area, a back-up battery powered air pump is a must for my aquariums. Since I am not always around when the power goes out, having a pump that I can run 24/7 but stays on (battery mode) when the power does go out, is critical.Hygger has never really disappointed me with their aquarium products. This pump is a bit of a let down, but only for minor reasons, which I will explain at the end. The size of this pump and the battery backup is good for the value. It is super easy to install and I assume was built to last, since it is a Hygger. So functionally, it is the perfect air pump. It runs on both AC and DC.So my only 2 small issues with it are the charging system and the sound. This isn’t the most quietest air pump I have had, but once its inside the cabinet, I can’t hear it, so no big deal. The charging system is a magnetic one. I am just not a fan of that style of charging and I didn’t notice it when I ordered the pump. While I am sure it’s a decent charging system, it runs the risk of disconnecting easier than plug-in style charging. If you bump the cord or pump, it can become disconnected. Or if a cat (we have 2) plays with the cord, it’s quite easy for the magnetic connection to be interrupted. I do have a large power strip in my tank cabinet, so the plug is protected from our cats, but still prefer plugin chargers. All in all, it is a nice air pump, with plenty of power and made by a quality company. So if the 2 small things I pointed out aren’t a deal breaker for you, this would be an air pump that I would recommend.
