This product does the job went used as a fishtank heater. Not the best choice for heating your bath.

I have used this same product in my 20 gal long tank for 3 + years and it is still working strong. That is why I bought this same one for another tank I have. Plus turning the temp díal and you can see clearly the red indiçator in front to show what approximate temp you want to set it in is a plus. I also like Aqueon heaters and they last long for me as well but you can not really see the temp iñdicator because it is on top near the dial compared to this one. So the advantage for me is the red indicator scale that shows in front makes it easier for me to see what I set it to. Also I use a temp gauge in the tank to make sure I get the temp the way I want it after I set the heater temp. 12/10/24 I bought another one for my other 20 gal long cause I have 2 20 gal tanks and the other still has a working marina and I like it. My old aqueon that did its job died on me after many years of use and I wanted try marina again.

I liked this heater so much that after i bought the first one for my 3.7 gallon Imagitarium tank, i bought one for a 2.5 gallon tank. It’s a short heater so it fits perfectly. I recommend to setup your tank with this before adding fish or shrimp as it may take a day or two to reach the desired temperature. It does not have temp settings, just a + and – on the dial. It has a neon light that goes on when the heater is heating so it does maintain a temperature.. Note that the tank temp is relative to the room temp in a small tank with this heater. I noticed on cold days the room temp was about about 67 the temp in the aquarium was at 72, but on a few warm sunny days when the room got warmer, the tank temp went up to 76, so I’m not sure what the dial does. My suspicions are that this does not work like a heater with a set temp dial on it. I like it. I check the temperature in the tanks daily, and I’m sure as it gets warmer outside, I’ll have to cut back on the heater setting.
