   When you first turn it on, all of the LEDs are the same color, but they shortly begin to display in a rainbow of colors and are quite pretty looking. You do not need to purchase the crystal or any thing else with this, it is quite nice as is.Once you connect an air pump, it produces a large number of bubbles and works very well as an aerator. If you already have an aerator, you could just set this up without an air pump. It’s very easy to pop out the part that produces the bubbles.You do need to bury the airline and place some gravel on the ring as well. I also positioned a large decorative rock near one side, the light looks great reflecting off it. I don’t understand why there are so many reviews complaining about this item floating. I have had it running constantly as an aerator for a month and it has never moved.
