I bought this tank after looking at several and reading many reviews. I went with this tank because I think it looks very clean and modern. The white is a nice accent to the room. The filter is very quiet (you don’t even hear it at all), and the light is bright enough to light up the tank very well. It’s nice that is has a temp gauge built into the lid so you can easily see how warm or cold the tank is. There isn’t much for instructions so you just have to wing it, but after touching buttons for awhile you can figure it out pretty easily. I’m not sure why there is the option to turn off the filter but I guess it may come in handy later when it comes time to clean the tank. The power flowing thru the filter seems a bit weak, but it should do the job ok as long as you don’t overcrowd the tank. The oxygen flow valve seems a bit pointless as I don’t see any difference in air bubbles flowing g when adjusting the valve, but it does blow a pretty good amount of water to circulate. I do really love that the pump and filter are just extremely quiet. (Altho the sound of water trickling is kind of the point of a fish tank. The water seems to stay pretty clean and clear but it’s only been a short time so we will she how it holds up to a more established state. I do really like that the pump and filter unit are also white along with the frame of the tank. It seem less bulky looking like the typical place material. The light are pretty cool. You can either switched thru 8 different colored setting or it can also cycle thru all colors at a nice slow pace which looks really good. I like that you can adjust the brightness of the light as well. The self feeder seems a bit cheaply thought out but I suppose with the right food and scheduling it should work pretty good. The humidifier on the top seems a bit pointless. The water tank is so small that you wouldn’t have to constantly fill it up. I just took the water tray for it out and figured there was no need to bother with it. The over all functionality of the tank is exactly what it should be. It does have some great features like the multistage filtration, multifunctional lighting, and a silent pump. It does also come with an extra pump for possible future needs should the original go out. I’m not sure if the top is removable or not. Thats the only real down side to this tank I can see. I think if you lift the top in the right position it should in Theory come off, but there is nothing in the directions that explain this and I don’t want to break it trying, but it would be so much easier to clean if the top came off. It’s something g I hadn’t thought of when considering my purchase. Over all I am very happy with this tank and I would definitely recommend it to a beginner starting out with a tank that should be simple to maintain.

The media could not be loaded.I was hoping it wouldn’t happen to me. I had seen some reviews that the pump stopped working but I ignored them. Well, mine stopped pumping at day 5. Amazon is great and I am getting a replacement. Wish me luck. It’s a hassle to pack everything back for return, change the water the substrate and recycle the tank but I wanted an aquarium that would feed my fish while I was on vacation, So I have no choice to try again. I don’t want to hire a babysitter for my fish. Thank goodness that it didn’t stop working after the 30 day return period. Yes it could happen again I know. By the way I tried to get ahold of the manufacturer but none of their emails or phone numbers worked. Go figure. I would have been happy if they had sent me a new pump. Two weeks later:I got my replacement aquarium and it’s working fine. I must say that the seller contacted me, (by email ), offered me a refund, asked me about the multiple issues I had and offered to send me a replacement pump. They also sent me a copy of their new instruction manual which answers all my questions. I must say they are very interested in improving their product and customer satisfaction. They also promised to fix the glue inside the tank issue. It’s a bit pricey but with all their electronics (timed lighting, automatic feeder, different color lights and humidifier) it’s worth the price.

Love the tank! The instructions could use some work. It says no assembly required, but it does require a small bit of assembly: Attaching the extension tube to the pump, installing the filter rocks in their plastic boxes (which just pull open, by the way. I was afraid to break them, but I didn’t.), and setting up the auto-feeder, which did have instructions. It also comes with an extra pump and some other replacement pieces, so I was very confused when I initially opened the box. It took some problem-solving to figure out what needed to be installed where and which pieces were extra. Even though there isn’t much assembly, set-up instructions and a complete list of what’s what inside the box and what each item is for would have been very helpful. Set-up was an exercise in frustration, but I now have a happy fish.
