Yar!!! I needed this for me seaside cottage themed room. A charming bit of nature to admire once the creatures no longer live in them and they’ve been chiseled off a ship or other underwater surface. This feels like seashells, if you’re curious. I’m adding this to some dust collectors on a shelf along with starfish and shells I’ve collected. This might look cool in a shadow box frame with some sea glass and other shells. Delightful little things.

I recently set up a small 10 gallon aquarium and was looking for interesting pieces to add to it. This fit the bill. Mine arrived unbroken, I read some reviews that others had received theirs broken. My fish don’t seem to interact a whole lot with it, but it does look good in my aquarium.

This is one of the nicest barnacle chunks I’ve come across. It’s large (about 2.5″ x 5″) and includes 9 good-sized individual shells. The color is amazing. Usually these are crusty and browned or have dull color, but this piece seems to have been sandblasted (or something similar). The whites are bright white and the purples are so pretty. Can’t wait to get this in my hermit crab enclosure.Keep in mind that I received this for free on Vine, which means the seller could have hand selected the best pieces for reviewers. Not saying they did – just something to consider.

I was hoping for one of the larger size, but looks like they gave me a 3″ x 3″ one. It is a nice decoration, but I have African Cichlids, so they probably won’t fit inside the barnacle openings. It did have a slight smell to it, so as I always do with things I put in my tank, I soaked it in vinegar and rinsed really well.I feel lucky that I got it undamaged. It was only wrapped in brown paper and shipped somewhat loosely in a box. Maybe barnacles are tougher than I thought.All in all nice looking piece and I believe they were once real barnacles.
