Works great, very quiet.

I just purchased my 2nd one of these pump to replace a noisey pump that was included in a 12 pipe hydro kit. No more noise!I like the ability to adjust the flow, it really works! I find I either have the pump set to min or max, but my last setup 40% was the correct setting. I used to put clips on my tubes to restrict the flow of the older pump if it was too strong. Having a slider switch to adjust flow is much easier. The slider switch allows you to control the GPM. With what you get for the price, I have no reason to buy another pump. These are high quality pumps, including the accessories.Dave

Saved me during aquarium water changes. I have a 20 gallon fish tank that was a pain in the butt to add water to after cleaning. Lifting buckets and trying to slowly add in is not feasible. Now i fill my bucket and pop this in and then run the hose into the tank and it’s done. Only complaint is that its very slow. But better slow than breaking my back.

The media could not be loaded.Suction power was solid and flow was steady. It also has a flow adjustment on the bottom. It functions as I expected it to and I was able to empty my 5 gallon tank in less than 5 minutes with this pump. I do wish it had a power switch on the power cable that I could use instead of unplugging to turn it off but that may have been left out to keep the electricity away from water. It’s also fairly quiet which is nice. In my videos I had it resting on the bottom of a glass tank and it was vibrating but it comes with rubber feet I hadn’t installed. I liked this one over others because this one comes with the tubing and it’s ready to use out of the box, no guessing which tubing to get. The others cost the same or more but no tubing included which means more money I’d have to spend so this was better value for me. The tubing isn’t the highest quality (it’s flimsy) but seems good enough for water changes and you get like 5 feet of tubing. I got this because I’m setting up another small tank and now that I’ll have two 5 gallon aquariums I’d rather use this to do the water changes than the usual with a cup scooping out water into a bucket. With one tank that was fine but with two I’m good off that, lol. I have a python for my big tanks that connects directly to the sink but I can’t use that on these small tanks since I typically raise baby fish in the smaller tanks and they’d get sucked up for sure and the python is just too big to even fit in these smaller tanks. I don’t think this pump would suck up my baby fish but just in case I might wrap some foam around the intake. That should allow water to flow and keep fish and shrimp safe.

This pump made it through one run so it already paid for itself. This is a sturdy pump and well worth the investment for mixing nutes in a 5 gallon bucket. I use silica to give my ladies strength along with cal-mag periodically and you have to pre-mix those nutes for some time and this pump handles that with ease. I would upgrade the hose, but other than that, it’s exactly what anyone would need to mix nutes in 5 gallon bucket to top feed your plants.

Works great (we’ll see long term, only been a quick minute). I used the suction cups to mount to the side of my aquarium near the bottom with the house and cord running up the back and out the top. The idea is to make any water changes fast and easy, which I’ve tried, and it works really well. Initially I wasn’t fond of the hose because of how flexible it is, however, the pump seems to have no problem pushing it open and it also makes it easy to route the house where you need it. I have a 20 gallon tank and it empty’s it very fast. It’s also pretty quiet, and is very easy to clean.
