About this item
- üêü WORLD’S SMALLEST BUT POWERFUL TRIPLE FILTRATION SYSTEMW – The Wonderfactory G1 is the world’s first compact hang-on fish tank filter with triple filtration: biochemical, mechanical, and surface oil removal. Equipped with our proprietary ultra-quiet and powerful water pump, it’s perfect for oxygenating, filtering, and microbial growth in small fish tanks.
- üêü SUPERIOR FILTRATION MEDIA – We use high-density, medium-pore (25 PPI) polyurethane sponges and high-porosity (over 75%) ceramic balls. This combination ensures a high flow rate while effectively removing impurities, harmful chemicals, and debris, keeping your aquarium water crystal clear. The top inlet features a surface skimmer to remove oil film and floating debris.
- üêü ULTRA-QUIET MOTOR – Our unique high-speed brushless motor is both powerful and energy-efficient, filtering up to 80 gallons per hour (GPH) with noise levels ‚â§30 dB. It delivers strong performance with minimal noise, ensuring a longer lifespan.
- üêü ADJUSTABLE WATER FLOW – Easily adjust the water flow to your preference by turning the dial. The unique waterfall design promotes oxygen exchange, helping your aquatic life stay healthy and active.
- üêü ENHANCED SAFETY FEATURES – The back-hanging design keeps the motor outside the tank, reducing risks of electric shock or exposure. The G1 also features a specialized intake sponge to prevent small fish and shrimp from being sucked into the filter, enhancing safety for all tank inhabitants, especially smaller or more delicate species.
- üêü USAGE GUIDELINES – The Wonderfactory G1 is ideal for aquariums ranging from 1 to 5 gallons. Note: Do not use this filter in tanks that are too small, as it may stress the fish. The filter may stop working due to improper installation or insufficient water volume. If the problem cannot be solved, please contact customer service for assistance.

Prof. Myrtle Nader II –
Actually surprised by this item. I picked it up after searching for new release items; I’ve never heard of the company before (not that it matters a lot with these brands). This filter is similar in design and operation to several other filters I have, but I think this one is the best for the money right now. The filter comes with pre-filter sponge, internal sponge media (the yellow sponge) and ceramic bio-media. The intake tube comes in a few pieces and has to be assembled. I believe this would pose no issue to a person with normal visual acuity and manual dexterity. The skimmer simply sits on part of the intake tube and operates by buoyancy. A rubbery circular standoff is included that you can use to adjust the angle that the filter rests against the glass. This is important for the skimmer feature, which operates better when the tank and filter are level. I’m using this filter on a rimless tank and it doesn’t look like it would fit on one with a traditional plastic rim.The filter pump is very strong and it can be turned up to a high flow rate compared with competing products. However, I use this filter for a nano aquarium so the flow is always turned way down. When the water flow is turned very low, the water drips pleasantly and evenly to the surface without making a noisy splash. This aspect of design should not be ignored because this is something that bothers me about many filters. It’s hard to give a name to this feature but I would say the Wonderfactory is currently my king of “anti-splashiness.” I had no issues adjusting the filter through the full range of operation. Like other HOB filters it may gurgle when getting started unless you assist the pump by pouring some water into the filter. In operation, with flow set low for a 5 gallon Betta tank, this filter is basically silent. The body of the filter feels like it is vibrating less than the previous similar one if I rest my hand on it. As of right now, my skimmer is not operating, though it operated all yesterday and through the night on the first day. I think it’s not working because some water has evaporated and the skimmer wants a pretty high water level relative to the tank. Be aware that this feature is a bit sketchy, even though it’s clearly an addon, and a welcome one, at this price.I really like that the lid of the filter fits snugly into the body instead of just sitting on top. This eliminates yet another area where microscopic water particles seem to escape and cause unsightly buildup. Looking at it now, it just seems like a less dusty and better solution that I hope is copied by competitors. The filter is physically smaller than several of its recent competitors. The filter does not appear to be UL or ETL certified. When I first powered on the filter, I noticed that the motor got hotter quicker than the motors of similar filters. The motor stays a bit warmer through operation. It’s not alarming, but I think it may lead to a shorter lifetime for the product (who expects things like this to last more than 2 or 3 years anyway?)Overall highly pleased and wouldn’t usually write a review for an item like this, but Wonderfactory deserves recognition and praise for doing some things right. That being said, I will probably swap this out again soon for a filter with a UL or ETL certified motor!

This filter works surprisingly well for its size. It runs quietly, keeps the water crystal clear, and includes both sponge and ceramic media for great biological and physical filtration. It fits nicely on the back of my 3-gallon tank and was easy to install. For the price, it’s an excellent value—perfect for small aquariums or shrimp setups. Just be mindful of the flow strength if you have very delicate fish.

I have many tanks of various sizes. But I recently added my first nano tank. It’s a 6 gallon. While it worked just fine, the filter that comes with it was a charcoal filter pack, and I didn’t want to spend hundreds on replacement filters, so I wanted a biological hang on back, and I gave this one a shot.First let me just say that this little guy is just cute as a button. I wasn’t expecting the size. But don’t be fooled. It is the perfect size for a nano. One review mentioned that it didn’t fit the rim of their tank. It did physically hang on my rim, but it didn’t seem real secure, so I trimmed away some of it so the filter would have more hook on. They gave it a 1 star for this shortcoming. I think that’s a bit harsh. It’ll work perfectly on a rimless though.Another review criticized the volume. I’m not sure what their issue was, but I found it to be as quiet as any other filter I have. I did noticed that if you don’t seat the inlet tube just right on top of the impeller motor, it will gurgle. But seated, it is very quiet in my opinion.Overall, I’d give it a 4.5 due to the small rim size requirement , but since you can’t give half stars, I rounded down to 4. Reliability is yet to be determined, but it functions quite well. It actually did a surprisingly good job at removing fine particulates. So far, I am very happy.
